Since a reader asked about restaurants in my home town of New Orleans, I thought I'd do some online checking to see if some of my faves are still open for business. I had heard that Mandina's closed for a while, because of Katrina-caused damage. Looks like they got a great deal on pink paint while doing repairs and restoration.
